About Us

Jos Reformed Theological College

Jos Reformed Theological College (JRTC) is an emerging, premier theological institution. Our goal is to raise Reformed Theological College to serve as a base for Christian reformation in Nigeria.

JRTC was established with the purpose of providing theological-worldview education for Christians from all walks of life, particularly those called to serve God in full-time Christian ministry.

Among others, the conviction behind this initiative is rooted in

  • The understanding that theological education remains the starting point for any meaningful move towards a transformed/reformed Nigeria.
  • The urgent need for theological training and depth among Nigerian Christians, including leaders and disciples – especially given the global move (southward) Christianity is making.

Jos Reformed Theological College exists to graduate leaders from the streets who shape culture living faithfully under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

 

Our Vision

Our vision is for Jos Reformed Theological College to remain faithful to God over the course of generations, serving as a steadfast, classically reformed, Bible College, one that remains thoroughly Trinitarian, robustly Protestant and Reformed, and decidedly evangelical.

Key Of Success

Building on the foundation of the absolute authority of Scripture, we intend for the College to remain committed to the ancient truths of Nicea and Chalcedon, and to the system of solid Reformed doctrine coupled with warm evangelical experience manifested most comprehensively in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Academic Programs

We offer a comprehensive range of academic programs, including:

  • Summer Certificate in Theology program
  • The Diploma in Theology Program
  • The Bachelor of Art in Theology Program

Admission Requirement

Jos Reformed Theological College offers admission to all applicants who meet the requirements.  Application forms are available in April and May. While entrance exams and interviews are held in June. Applicants must meet the requirements for their chosen program before they can be given admission. The following are the requirements for all programs.

To be admitted into the degree program, candidate must,

  1. Have completed their senior secondary school education and obtained their SSCE Certificate or the equivalence with 5 credits, in no more than two sittings. (Especially our diploma and degree programs)
  2. Have been properly discipled – this means not a young or recent convert
  3. Have a good standing in his or her church.
  4. Complete the necessary documentations
