Rev. Wesley Kavanagh
Wes was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. His parents were saved when he was very small, and he grew up in a Christian home, attending a Baptist church since he was 3. At the age of ten, he came under deep conviction of his sinful condition, and the Spirit’s drawing led him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. When he was 12, he surrendered his life to full-time service. While at Bible College, he met his lovely wife Amy, and the two were married in 1995. God has blessed them with four wonderful children and one grandson.
In ministry, Wes has a served as a senior pastor, and as a youth and music pastor and as a Christian school teacher. Wes is an expository preacher and teacher of the Word, and he has a passion for church history, theology, Christian leadership, as well as cultural and philosophical subjects that are affecting western culture and the church today. Wes and Amy homeschooled all four of their children, and still have a firm conviction of the need for Christian education and Christian homes that are led by godly fathers who teach and train their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. He firmly believes that this generation is in as desperate a need for reformation as the Church was in Martin Luther’s day. It is this belief and his commitment to the Five Solas of the Reformation that drives his passion for educating 21st century Christians in the great moving of God among the Reformers of the 16th century, and praying for an awakening among Christians today.
Wes is currently serving as the senior pastor at North Ten Mile Baptist Church in Amity, Pennsylvania.
